How to Read This Guide

This is a living page — it's refreshed as rates, access rules, and housing numbers change. Here's what every badge and number means.

The access badge

  • Public — anyone can book a tee time. No membership needed.
  • Semi-private — members' club, but public tee times are sold (often off-peak).
  • Private — member and guest play only. You'll need an invitation or a member host.

Prices & verification

  • Every price, fee, and dues figure is date-stamped as of October 2026.
  • Green fees come from published listings; confirm with the club before planning a trip.
  • Membership pricing is almost never published — those cells honestly say unpublished, not a guess.

Housing, stated fairly

  • "Nearby homes" notes are strictly factual: home types, price points, builders, HOA fees.
  • Community-level medians come from public listing aggregators (neighborhoods.com, realtor.com, Compass comps) and are marked as data, not advice.
  • No claims about the people who live anywhere — just the market numbers.

The Courses

From a Golf Digest Top-100 private club to public Strantz and Fazio layouts — the ten Richmond-area courses that matter most, in the golfer's relocation order: the best first.
